12th October 1914: Hohe Mandling
Description: Although the Berndorfer Hütte on the top of Hohe Mandling has burned down it is still worth climbing this summit in the Gutensteiner Alpen. In Berndorf we shall visit the “Berndorfer Schulen”, founded by the Krupp Family in order to familiarize children with architecture, from old Egypt to Baroque and Classicism.
Route: Miesenbach – Mozartfelsen – Hohe Mandling (967m) – Geyer Sattel – Berndorf.

Meet: 08:15 Meidling Station (U/6), near the ticket machines. Train departs at 08:35. We shall tak “Einfach Raus” ticket
Return: By Train from Berndorf at 06:27 p.m., Arrival in Wien Meidling at 19:22 p.m.
Cost: Einfach Raus ticket ca. 10 Euros per person
Registration: By Thursday, 9 October, to leader.
Note: Bring Food and drink for picknick. No hut on the way. Usual hiking Equipment, rainwear! Gasthaus at the end of the hike.
