*Description:*This is not a hike, but a cultural event that takes place every year. The Vienna Tourist Guides give a presentation of their knowledge of the city and its history. This year the focus is on the 4th district (Wieden) and guided tours will take place in the district museum; there is an original “Tröpferl Bad” (communal shower/baths from the 19th century). Furthermore walks through the district will take place with emphasis on music, on stories and legends,as well as guided tours around Karlsplatz. Special tours for children will also take place. *Meet:*Between 10am and 3:30pm, at the entrance to the Wirtschaftskammer (Chamber of Economy), Wiedner Hauptstraße 63,1040 Wien; can be reached by trams 1 or 62. Tours will depart from there approx. every half hour. Lectures on various subjects will also take place in the Wirtschaftskammer (in German), the titles you find on the website mentioned above; for tours around Karlsplatz the meeting is the Otto Wagner Pavillon (entrace to U4), same time. Note: TOURS IN ENGLISH AND OTHER LANGUAGES will depart from Karlsplatz, Otto Wagner Pavillon.
