17th February 2019: Cultural walks on the Day of the Vienna Tourist Guides

Description: This is not a hike, but a cultural event that takes place every year. The Vienna Tourist Guides give a presentation of their knowledge of the city and its history. This year the focus is on the year 1939 and guided tours will take place in the New Haus der Geschichte, the Papyrus Museum, the Literaturmuseum, and walks around Heldenplatz. There will also be tours for children to the Globe museum and to the Esperanto Museum. In addition there will be tours in English and other languages.

Route: Around Josefplaz and Heldenplatz, 1010 Wien

Meet: Between 10:00am and 4pm, at the entrance to the National Library, Josefsplatz, 1010 Wien. Tours will be approx. every 30 minutes

Return:

Cost: No costs, guides work for free, entrance to the museums is also free on that day
