FULL - 2022-03-19 - Tracking the History of Kahlenberg
Description: Kahlenberg is to the North of Vienna and guards the Danube River. In this hike/walk we will Track the history of this hill by following in the tracks of a train, a world exposition, a scoundrel, an assassination, as well as a few assorted wars and other personalities.
The route is 80/20 asphalt/dirt-trail. Poles are VERY optional. Bring fluids and nibbles for the trail. Camera a must particularly if the skies are clear.
Route/Map: Generally along Wien Stadtwanderweg 1 with some minor deviations. Details available:

Meet: Nussdorf, terminus of Tram D at 0945h for a 1000h start. *Maximum 15 participants * (plus Frank).
Apres Hike: A late, post-hike lunch likely in Nussdorf (EINKEHR zur ZAHNRADBAHN); please indicate if you are staying for lunch.
