9th March (Sunday) 2014: Semmering to Gloggnitz
Description: A scenic tour along the train tracks in the Semmering area, passing train tunnels, briges, aquaducts and old castles. The path is well maintained so we will go with all types of weather. Limited majors climbs in altitude but many small ascents and descents, and we will walk at a good pace to be able to cover the distance.
Lunch will be in a Gasthaus in Breitenstein, but bring snacks for the second half of the day.
Route: We will travel to Semmering, and then walk back to Gloggnitz along the “Bahnwanderweg”. 23km route!

Meet: 6:50 at Wien Meidling
Departing 7:05 on the R2309 to Payerbach Reichenau, change at 8:33 to the R2949 to Semmering
Arrive at 9:05
Return: 17:33 in Gloggnitz
Departing 17:33 on the R2358 to Wien Meidling
Arrive at 18:52
Will will buy Einfach Raus tickets for the day (35EUR for 5 people divided by the number of hikers)
Cost: train ticket ~7EUR
