Description:
A fairly steep climb requiring a bit of scrambling (using your hands as well) will result in a nice afternoon along the plateau.

Route: Maiersdorf – Krumme Ries – Hubertushaus – Eichen Huette – Plackels – Rastkreuz – Gruenbach (train station)

Meet: Trainstation Wien Meidling (upstairs from the U6 Philidelphiabruecke) 8:15. Meet by the bakery and ticket machines.

Train leaves at 8:30

Connecting bus from Wiener Neustadt to Maiersdorf, leaving 9:05, arriving at 9:29

Return: 16:51 Gruenbach am Schneeberg, arriving at 17:57 Wien Meidling

Please buy your own ticket from Wien Meidling (Stadtgrenze) to Wiener Neustadt. ONE WAY. From there we will buy separate bus tickets to Maiersdorf. The retun ticket will be from Gruenbach am Schneeberg to Wien Meidling

Cost: ~€30 EUR for trains (without vorteilskarte), plus food.

Not possible to buy group ticket as we will be taking the fast train (Railjet).

Registration: By May 23 8:00am

Note: A head for heights, good footwear, a headlamp (just in case!), good clothing for wind/rain/sun (changing weather conditions).

We will have lunch at one of the huts along the way, but please do bring some snacks, or your own food if you have strict diatary restrictions (Austrian huts are known to be sometimes difficult for vegetarians, lactose free, etc.)

This hike has some ladders, cables, bridges and hikers should be comfortable in this environment
