Description: The Handlesberg (1370m), located on the “westend” of the Gutensteiner Alpen, is a rather lonesome mountain. Without a hut/Gasthaus enroute it remains a “Geheimtipp” for nature Lovers.
Route: Gscheiderwirt – Pax – Bodingschneide – Wildföhrenstein – Handlesberg (1370m)- Grubenfranzl – Schwarzau im Gebirge (Gasthaus).

Meet: 7:10 a.m. Bahnhof Meidling (U6), near the ticket machines. Train departs at 07:29. Bus from Payerbach Reichenau to Schwarzau/Gscheiderwirt.
We can share an “Einfach Raus” ticket.
Return: By bus and Train from Schwarzau via Payerbach Reichenau to Vienna; Arrival Meidling at 8 p.m.
Cost: Ca 15 Euros for share of train ticket and bus fare.
Registration: By Thursday, 25 September, to leader.
Note: This hike will take place only in reasonably good weather. Changes possible. Bring Food and drink for picknick, hiking books, appropriate clothing, rainwear.
