Class Bicycle 3-4 hours/40km
3 June 2018: Bike Trip Melk to Krems (Max 5 or so)
*Description:*Bike ride through the famous Danube Wachau Valley, lined with ruined castles, beautiful abbeys, small towns, and vineyard upon vineyard. We will cycle at a moderate pace, taking in the scenery as we go. We will stop for lunch about 15-20 km into the ride. The bike path is relatively flat, going downstream with the river.
*Route:*Melk – crossing the Danube to cycle on the northside through Willendorf – Spitz – Durnstein – Krems.

*Meet:*09:00 Wien Westbahnhof near ticket counters. REX 1908 train departs at 09:20 is direct to Melk Bahnhof, arriving at 10:20.
*Return:*15:51 Krems Donau Bahnhof on REX 2843 (leaving every hour depending on our schedule), arriving Wien Francz-Josefs-Bahnhof at 17:00 (0 changes).
*Cost:*About 40 Euros (including bike charge on the train). With Vorteilscard Classic, the cost is about half.
*Registration:*By Thursday, 31 May to hike leader (Max 5 due to limited space for bikes on trains).
*Note:*Clothing according to weather, rainwear, drinks, snacks, bike in good repair, bike helmets and suggest bike pants (you will thank me later).
