Description: The Anninger is a limestone ridge between Mödling and Baden. From its highest Point, Wilhelmswarte (675m) we can have a great view into the Viennese basin (Wiener Becken) and, with a clear sky, see as far as the Schneeberg.

Route: Gaaden – Gumpoldskirchner Steig – Wilhelmswarte (675m) – Anninger Schutzhaus (lunch) – Gumpoldskirchen (Heuriger)

Meet: At 8:50 a.m. Bahnhof Meidling (U6) near the ticket Office and ticket machines. Train departs at 9:07 a.m.; Arrival Mödling at 9:18 a.m. You may also board the Train (Rex) at Praterstern, Wien Mitte, Hauptbahnhof etc. In Mödling we shall take the bus at 9:33 to Gaaden. Buy ticket from Stadtgrenze (Liesing) to Mödling (if you have a ticket for Vienna). WE SHALL MEET AT THE TRAIN STATION IN MÖDLING.

Return: By Train from Gumpoldskirchen at around 4:21 or at 5:21 p.m. arriving Wien Meidling 30 minutes later.

Cost: Ca. EUR 10.- for train and bus fare
