13-20 June 2015 Classic Mountain Walks in the English Lake District

Description: A week of hiking in the beautiful English Lake District.
This will be a tough week with long walks every day. Although it is not a backpacking week, you will need to carry drinking water, food, waterproofs, extra fleece etc., because there is nowhere to buy refreshments, except in the valleys. There can be four seasons in one day on the Lakeland Fells, and there are no mountain huts or places to shelter. However, June is usually the best month weather-wise with long evenings – it does not get dark until after 10 pm. There will be foul weather options on most days, in case it is not safe to do the planned itinerary.
