February 16-19 2019: Long snow shoe weekend at Mariawaldrast
Description: Come join us for a long weekend at the Monastery of Mariawaldrast, the highest monastery in Europe. At 1,600 meters it is surrounded by snow capped mountains with super views in all directions. Cross country skiing is also possible as well as a sled ride down the mountain. Details will follow.
Route: Each day’s snow shoe route will be decided on the spot depending on snow conditions.

Meet: Friday, Feb 16 at Wien Hauptbahnhof ticket machines at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Train leaves as 7:55 a.m.
Return: Monday, Feb. 19 to Wien Hauptbahnhof at 7:30 p.m.
Cost: Train full fare approx. EUR 140.00, overnight with half pension approx. EUR 48 per night plus drinks, taxi to and from train station and cost of snacks/lunches.
Registration: by February 10.
Note: Bring your own snow shoes (renting on site not possible). Maximum 10 participants. Clothing according to weather forecast.
