Description:
An exploration of landscape history on the northwestern edge of Vienna, from farmland to factories and forests. Revised version of my walk of 6 March 2016.

Route:
Krottenbachstrasse – Hackenberg – Salmannsdorf – Hameau – Schwarzenbergpark

Map:
Any map of town showing the northwestern edge of Vienna. Participants will receive a background note with 19th century maps of the area.

Meet:
13.30 S-45 station Krottenbachstrasse, by the Krottenbachstrasse pedestrian crossing.

Return:
Late afternoon, by bus 35A from Salmannsdorf.

Local transport

By 15 February to the hike leader

Note:
Depending on the weather, tracks in the Vienna Woods maybe very slippery or muddy.
