18-24 April 2014: Hiking and cycling in the eastern Netherlands
Description: Walking and cycling in the Arnhem area with its rich variety of landscape (rivers, farmland, old country estates, forests, heath) and history (from Hanseatic towns to the 1944 Battle of Arnhem).
Route: Two days of walking and two days of cycling. Plus one day with a walk on the country estates on the outskirts of Arnhem and a visit to the town.
Map: ANWB fietskaart Veluwe 1:50.000 (cycling map) and/or Trage Paden Zuid Veluwe and Noord Veluwe 1:25.000 (composite sheets of topographic map)
Meet: Amsterdam Central Station, 18 April 2014, 14.30.
Return: We leave our acccommodation in Beekbergen after breakfast on 24 April 2014.
Cost: EU 185 for 6 overnights + EU 45 deposit for accommodation in a spacious villa with large garden (self-catering, 3 of the rooms have en-suite facilities, shared facilities for the rest). The deposit will be returned after the trip. THE OVERNIGHT FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED AFTER 17 MARCH 2014. In addition: local transport, bicycle hire (around EU 9/day), Hiking Club fee.

Registration is accepted after receipt of the overnight fee + deposit (total: EU 230) at my bank account – Bank Austria, BLZ 12000, account no 00790024095. Mention ‘NL trip’ and your name under payment purpose. Maximum number of participants: 8.
