*Description:*Vienna newcomers will particularly enjoy hiking in this nature reserve where wild boar, deer and stags inhabit the terrain. We will follow a loop through the park along broad trails, enjoy strands of beech and oak trees, pass by a former imperial hunting lodge (Hermesvilla), and enjoy sweeping views of Vienna. DUE TO PARTS OF THE PARK NOT CURRENTLY OPEN, THE ROUTING IS BEING UPDATED AND A NEW SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN-UP.

*Route:*Lainzer Tor (263m) – Hermes Villa – Rohrhaus – Kaltbrundlberg (508m) – Hirschgstemm (lunch) – Mainzer Tor (263m)

*Meet:*10.00 at Wien Lainzer Tor, at entrance gate. Routing from Westbahnhof (U6) take tram 60 then transfer to Hermesstraße, Bus 55A to Lainzer Tor. From Hietzing (U4) take bus 56A to Wien Dr.-Schober-Straße then transfer to 55A to Lainzer Tor.

*Return:*14.00-15.00 (depending on pace)

*Cost:*No cost for park entrance, only expense is your public transport.

*Registration:*By Thursday, 1 February 2018 to hike leader.

*Note:*We will have lunch around noon at Hirschgstemm. Bring snacks and drinks as needed. Clothing according to weather. Note in your registration if you need further assistance with public transport.
