Wednesday, 24th June 2020: Evening hike Salmannsdorf - Pötzleinsdorf
Description: On 24th June, St. John´s day, country folk lit traditionally bonfires on some mountains to celebrate midsummer. We will celebrate with a picnic on the top of Schafberg, following a hike through the Vienna Woods.
Route: Salmannsdorf – following Stadtwanderweg 3 to Geroldgasse (Neuwaldegg) – depending on the spirit of the group a fairly steep or moderate ascent to Schafberg (picnic) – Pötzleinsdorf
Map: any Vienna city map will do
Meet: at 6 pm at Spittelau, in the main hall close to the ticket machines; we will take bus 35A to Salmannsdorf
Return: 9:30 to 10 pm to Schottentor
Cost: Vienna transport tickets
Registration: by 22 June 2020; maximum number of participants is 14
Note: it would be nice if one or two participants could bring wine; everybody please bring food (to share?), water and a cup to drink
