Description:. We hike today in the Naturschutzgebiet of Lainzer Tiergarten. One can enjoy a good view over Vienna from the Wiener Blick. Hike is approximately 13 kilometres long. Technically easy enough but it will be hot so a slower pace on the uphills.

Route:. We start at Nikolaitor with a long uphill to Wiener Blick. On past St. Veiter Tor to Hermesvilla and on to Hirschgstemm Gasthaus (another uphill) for lunch and then mainly down to Nikolaitor on an asphalt path.

Meet:. 9 a.m. U4 Hutteldorf just outside exit Hadikgasse on street level.

Return:. Approx. 3-4 p.m. to U4 Hutteldorf

Cost: public transport to starting point

Note:. dress according to weather forecast and bring plenty to drink as it will be a rather warm day. You can eat in the Gasthaus or bring a picnic lunch.
