Description:
How do rocks, water, wind and people shape a walking route? Find out the hard way – on foot. To illustrate the people bit we will visit a reconstructed Roman-era Germanic village.
Route:
Schönberg am Kamp – Manhartsberg – Elsarn (open air museum) – Engabrunner Haide.
Map:

Meet:
Wien Heiligenstadt station hall, 08.50, train to Krems leaves at 09.10.
Return:
From Etsdorf-Strass to Heiligenstadt, arr. 18.00 or 19.00 (depending on time spent at the Heuriger in Engabrunn).
Cost:
Train full fare: EU 25.10 + EU 5 (EU 3 if you’re 65+) for the open air museum.
Registration:
By 27 September to the hike leader.
Note:
Bring drinks, we will have a snack at the museum; bring a torch in case you opt for the later train from Etsdorf-Strass.
