4 March: Relay hike Wienerwald
Description:
This is slightly more challenging hike than the first relay hike, as much of the route is unmarked. I give a general overview of the route and each of the participants leads the group in turn. The more participants the shorter the stretch you have to lead! Landscape: forests and a nice Voralpenpanorama from the fields at Sulz.
Route:
Alland – Buchelbach (lunch at Mostheuriger) – Kaltenleutgeben.

Österreichische Karte 1:50.000, Wien-Umgebung, or sheet 5325. Or use GPS/hiking app. You can explore route options on the website of the Austrian topographic service (www.austrianmap.at/) by zooming in on their online map.
Meet:
Wien Meidling station hall, 08.50. Train R2319 to Wiener Neustadt leaves at 09.07. Get a single to Mödling. This train can also be boarded at the other stations between Floridsdorf and Liesing. We meet in the first carriage.
Return:
To Wien Liesing, 16.38.

Note:
Participants are informed that four cats and a dog are very much part of the furniture at the Mostheuriger.
