Description: Forest, farmland and holloways; in good weather a nice panorama of the Danube valley downstream from Krems.
Route: Gemeinlebarn – Seelackenberg – Traisen valley – Traismauer (lunch) – Seelackenberg – Kellergasse am Eichberg – Gemeinlebarn.
Map: Österreichische Karte 1: 50.000, sheet 33-1-24 Herzogenburg.
Meet: Heiligenstadt station hall near the ticket machines, 08.20. S40 to St. Pölten leaves 08.45. Please be on time for the purchase of the Einfach Raus tickets.
Return: To Heiligenstadt 19.15.
Cost: We will get Einfach Raus tickets for the group. Maximum cost per person EU 13 (depends on size group).
Registration: by 22 January to the hike leader.
Note: Clothes according to weather forecast. Bring TORCH, as we’re finishing at dusk. Paths can be slippery and/or muddy. Jogging shoes not recommended.
